Mr. Josh Sheng Chen
Mr. Josh Sheng Chen is the founder and chairman of 21Vianet Group, Inc. Since founding the company in 1999 as CEO through 2015, Josh Sheng Chen grew China’s first carrier-neutral data center to becoming the largest service provider of carrier-neutral data centers in China, operating over 80 distributed data centers in more than 30 cities throughout China. Mr. Josh Sheng Chen led 21Vianet to its initial public offering on NASDAQ in 2011.
Mr. Chen is the deputy general director of the China Energy Internet Alliance (CEIA), the deputy general director of Tsinghua University’s Institute of Internet Industry, the deputy general director of the Energy Internet Research Institute of Tsinghua University, and the general director of the Zhongguancun Block chain Industrial Alliance. In 2017, Mr. Chen won the annual award for being one of the Top 10 Leaders in Chinese Integration of Industrialization and Informatization. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Electric Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1991.
